Fire crews found the burned remnants Tuesday of a prized bronze statue of Jackie Robinson that was stolen last week from a public park in Kansas, authorities said. The statue, which was cut at the figure's ankles, went missing Thursday morning. Surveillance video shows two people hauling the sculpture away in the dark, to a truck that was later found abandoned. He said the mold is still viable and anticipated that a replacement could be erected within a matter of months. “This now lets us know that we need a new statue,” he said of the destroyed remains.

Oct 30 (Reuters) - 3D metal-printing startup Seurat Technologies on Monday hinted at potentially going public in the medium-term and said it had raised $99 million in a funding round co-led by chip designer Nvidia's (NVDA.O) venture capital arm. With the latest series C funding round, the company's valuation will approach $350 million, said a source who asked not to be named. The fundraise, co-led by Nvidia's NVentures and Capricorn's Technology Impact Fund, brought in new investors Honda Motor (7267.T) and Cubit Capital. The eye-popping predictions for weight loss drug sales hinge on insurance companies agreeing to provide coverage of the pricey treatments, and momentum seems to be building on that front. The drugs include Novo Nordisk's semaglutide, which is sold as Ozempic for diabetes management and as Wegovy for weight loss. Unlike earlier generations of weight loss medicines, their side effects have been largely mild and included diarrhea, constipation and nausea. Higher hospital labor costs as well as GLP-1 medications are contributing to the biggest jump in health insurance costs since 2012, Lutz said. But those numbers will grow, especially as ongoing research continues to make the case for benefits beyond blood sugar control and weight loss.
